another important civil rights battle

Nov 5th, 2009

Today, Nov. 5, a Senate Committee will hold a hearing on ENDA (the Employment Non-Discrimination Act –S. 1584). Key witnesses will testify about how vital this legislation is for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender workers and their families.

As we know from the crushing Maine defeat Tuesday night, the only way to achieve the rights we deserve is by getting the national leadership to work with and for us. The Senate needs to hear  our voices–the voices of their constituents.

Demand that your representatives and the President support our civil rights. (You can access more information here from MeetintheMiddle.com

We will not achieve equity in our society until we have the same protections as other citizens. Make your voices heard–for yourselves and our future.—VAB
